Five Things That Make a Swinger Party Really Swing
People often ask whether this or that swinger party venue is a good one or not. Having experienced parties at most venues all over the U.K., my answer to this question emphasises that it is not really a good venue that makes a good party but rather the people attending it.
In terms of size and facilities there are several really outstanding swinger party venues to be found but it doesn’t necessarily follow that every party at such venues is a good one. Conversely, a small, private house party with practically no special facilities can often provide a swinger party that really swings. It’s people who make parties – not places.
Assuming the venue is adequately suitable for hosting a swinger party, there are probably five main requirements for creating the kind of environment that will make a swinger party really swing.

The Majority of Guests Participate
Probably the most common reason for swinger parties flopping is due to them having too many guests who do not participate. Sadly, the swing scene attracts many who are just curious about what goes on and who rarely, if ever actually do any swinging. These people may simply be voyeurs but they can also often be couples, led by males who vainly hope that they can persuade their partners into swinging by taking them to a party.
Unfortunately, it only takes a few non-participating guests of this type, plus a few nervous – but otherwise genuine – newcomers, to bring about a party mood that stops it ever getting off the ground. Even, experienced, fully participating swingers can be quickly affected by this kind of atmosphere and will often leave prematurely, reducing the number of potential participants still further. - Plenty of People
Although some very good swinger parties take place with very small numbers of guests, the odds are firmly stacked in favour of larger numbers of guests being more likely to provide the atmosphere, choice, and chemistry needed to ensure a party really swings. Small numbers in a small intimate setting may sometimes work well but small numbers in large, empty venues are usually a recipe for disaster. -
Balance of sexes
A very important requirement is that the guests attending are made up of reasonably equal numbers of males and females. How equal this has to be depends very much on some of the other factors, especially how big the party is. In a large party, any inequality is hidden quite easily. In a small party, even one spare male may stand out and be a source of disharmony for other guests. -
Similar Values
Although swinging might appear to be about purely physical relationships, it is no more likely that people whose value systems are very different will swing together than it is that any other form of bond will develop between them. Swingers do actually chat and socialise at great lengths before deciding to move on to the sexual side of things. During this stage of introduction, values will emerge and either consciously or subconsciously, will go a long way to determining whether a relationship ensues or not. It is important therefore for guests at a swinger party to comprise mainly of people who generally share the same value systems. -
Balance of Age Groups
No matter how different the swinging lifestyle might be from the monogamous lifestyle, human sexuality is remains the same when it comes to choosing sexual partners. People are usually attracted to other people who are in a broadly similar age group. This may vary by quite a few years from individual to individual and women are more likely to enjoy older partners than men. Nevertheless, a party where age groups differ enormously and some guests are totally unable to find people of their own age group, is unlikely to be a swinging success.
How to find Swinger Parties that Really Swing
Because people make parties, it is impossible to predict with certainty whether any one party is going to really swing or not.
